The easiest way to listen to WNYO is to tune your radio to 88.9FM, but say you dont have a radio or are out of WNYO's broadcasting range?
WNYO's webcast is the 2nd easiest way (the only other way) to listen LIVE!! (well.. delayed a minute)
Q: I have no clue what I am doing, how do I connect to webcast?
A: It's pretty easy actually, first lets decide what program you are going to use.
If you are using a PC, then you have the option of using Winamp or iTunes (recommended on campus)
If you are using a Mac, then you have just the option of using iTunes
How to connect to the WNYO webcast using Winamp:
1. Download the free version of Winamp. Choose the full version on the next page then deselect any options you dont need while installing.
2. Click on the Listen Live! icon on the top of the page, or here. If anything from your browser pops up, click Open/Run. If WNYO starts to play on winamp then you are done! If not, continue on to step 3.
3. Open Winamp, Copy this link, http://www.wnyo.org/webcast-mp3-high.m3u
Click on File, then Play URL and paste the entire link into the box. Hit OK and enjoy WNYO!
How to connect to the WNYO webcast using iTunes:
1. Download iTunes for your Mac or PC if you don't already have it, and install it.
2. Click on the Listen Live! icon on the top of the page, or here. If anything from your browser pops up, click Open/Run. If WNYO starts to play on iTunes, then you are done! If not, continue on to step 3.
3. Open iTunes, Copy this link, http://www.wnyo.org/webcast-mp3-high.m3u
Click on Advanced, then Open Stream and paste the entire link into the box. Hit OK and enjoy WNYO!
